Eligibility Criteria to enroll in an UG course
An undergraduate/ bachelor’s degree is a prerequisite to opt for a pg degree. The different selection basis is as follows:
- Qualifying higher secondary level of education/ 12th standard: a required score of marks (as per different universities) from a recognized school or institution is a necessity. In some UG courses, a minimum percentage is a prerequisite for even appearing for an entrance examination
- Entrance examination: Various universities and colleges award the UG degree by either taking an entry-level exam for students before they can get admission in their undergraduate courses. A student must achieve the qualifying score in entrance examinations to take a part in the counselling process that takes place for admissions in bachelor’s courses. The minimum qualifying marks are different for different types of UG or undergraduate courses which range from medicine, engineering, arts, humanities, commerce and various other available options
- Interviews: the students have to appear and pass the interview segment along with clearing the entrance examination. This system is followed by some universities for particular courses. Qualifying both segments is crucial for obtaining admission to the UG course
